NATAL on the ground in the aftermath of international crises and disasters
NATAL is a founding member of the Israel Trauma Coalition (ITC) and is regularly sent as part of various Israeli delegations providing mental health support and emotional first aid in response to natural disasters and humanitarian crises around the world. Some of our work includes:
- Philippines: Following the 2014 typhoon, NATAL sent professionals to help with the immediate disaster relief and training.
- Haiti: Following the 2010 earthquake that devastated the country, NATAL professionals traveled with a delegation of Israelis to assist with social services.
- France: NATAL sent therapists to assist and work directly with those afflicted, following a shooting at a Jewish school in Toulouse. Additionally NATAL worked with the families of shooting victims following the Paris terror attack in November 2015.
Other locations of international work include Japan, Boston, Turkey, Jordan, China and Ecuador.
