Itai Anghel, a famous Israeli war correspondent, shares with university students his experiences of being in highly traumatizing environments while reporting on conflicts from around the world, and his treatment through NATAL.
Itai has for several years now been working closely with NATAL’s Public Awareness and Trauma Advocacy department and regularly speaks to hundreds of university students who have gathered to hear his story. This is part of NATAL’s strategy to reach young post-military Israelis who typically have recently returned from a year abroad after their service and now in the middle of their studies. At this point in time many young veterans will begin to notice trauma symptoms but not understand the connection with their military service.
NATAL and Itai work together to help form the link which can lead them to seek help. Following every campus speaking engagement that Itai does, the Helpline always spikes with young veterans seeking NATAL’s support.
